Quilcene is also the place to go if you are looking for steamer clams. There is apublic beach that allows you 80 clamseach (in most regions the limit is 40). You'll be surprised how quick, easy and fun this is. They are great in the evening while sitting around the campfire. (Tip: Check the tide tables).
